OUR MISSION
The Computer Architecture Research Project (CARP) is a student-led initiative dedicated to exploring the future of computing from the ground up. Our mission is to design and build custom processors while gaining hands-on experience in digital systems, hardware design, and computer architecture.
We aim to empower students to take ownership of complex, collaborative engineering projects that push beyond the classroom. Through mentorship, research, and open-source development, we’re building a platform where students can learn by doing — from writing low-level hardware code to creating chips that could one day be fabricated.
At CARP, we believe in learning through experimentation, leading through service, and building technology that reflects curiosity, creativity, and purpose.
