Partnerships
CARP thrives on collaboration between students and industry. Accessing fabrication shuttles, advanced tooling, and meaningful design reviews requires resources that only generous partners can provide.
What makes CARP unique is that we aren’t just a research group. We are an open, student-driven ecosystem for computer architecture at Cal Poly. Our members engage directly in the design of custom silicon, verification, embedded integration, and system-level architecture, while also learning the essentials of project coordination and technical communication. The result is a team of engineers ready to contribute to the semiconductor workforce with a desire for innovation.
We invite partners to join us in this effort by providing funding, tools, and mentorship. In return, CARP offers visibility across campus and the broader open-source hardware community, along with direct connections to a growing pipeline of motivated, highly-skilled students.
Ways of Contributing
CARP may receive donations or contributions from corporations, small businesses, and individuals to support our efforts. All donations are tax deductible.
Tooling Access: provide software licenses, PDK access, or compute resources that enable students to work with the same tools used in industry.
Mentorship: share expertise through workshops, talks, or design reviews. Guidance from professionals accelerates learning and connects classroom theory to industry practice.
Monetary: financial contributions are essential for accessing multi-project wafer tapeouts, purchasing lab hardware, and supporting student outreach efforts.
